Three great ways to use your slow cooker!

Hi and happy Monday! I’m really excited about today’s post because it is one of those things that almost everyone can relate to! I know that anyone who cooks is most likely hoarding a dusty slow cooker somewhere in the depths of their kitchen cabinets! I know I am speaking from pure experience :) I think I’ve owned a slow cooker since the beginning of time, or at least since the beginning of my cooking adventures and I may have used the thing twice. But that’s all about to change! I’ve been doing my research and the busier I get, the more practical this slow cooker business sounds.

To be honest, I feel like I’ve been misled, or at the very least, been misinformed about the capabilities of my slow cooker! If you are one to use your slow cooker a lot, then this may not be that exciting or new to you, but since I’m kind of a noob when it comes to this, I thought it was pretty neat! So here are three cool ways you can use your slow cooker!

1. You can bake potatoes in your slow cooker

2. You can cook meat and potatoes separately in the same slow cooker

3. You can use two slow cookers–one for your meat and one for your potatoes

I know this isn’t shocking information, but I feel that some people, like myself, may just need a little reminder of how great and useful their slow cookers really can be! There is nothing better than coming home to a hot, delicious, COOKED meal after working all day! And let’s be honest, unless you are married to Chef Boyardee the chances are high that you’re the one cooking that hot, delicious meal after work! So why not save yourself some time and put your dusty slow cooker to use?

So now that I’ve surely convinced you to start using your slow cookers again, here are a few recipes you may want to try :)
