Hello everyone, today I’m sharing a few of our favourite free crochet bag patterns! This winter mom and I started experimenting with crochet a little more than we ever have before. My Nan is the ultimate “crafter” and has taught mom and I pretty much everything crafty that we know and crocheting is no exception. I started crocheting when I was about seven years old. I can remember crocheting an entire ball of yarn in a single chain, it would keep me entertained for hours! Over the years mom and I have made a few scarves and the occasional afghan, but this winter mom started attempting bigger projects and it turns out that it’s really not that hard! We have found all of these free crochet bag patterns on Pinterest from other bloggers.
Striped Bubble Tote Pattern
I really like this bubble tote pattern, and I think mom chose gorgeous colours! Once this bag was finished we realized that the straps were a bit thin. If we were to make this bag again we would double the width of the straps just so you get a bit more support.
I think this tartan bag makes a super cute purse and the pattern was easy enough to follow, even for beginners. A great thing about crochet projects is that there are lots of resources if you get stuck. YouTube is great for finding helpful tutorials if you’re unsure of how to do a stitch. You can also find lots of YouTube tutorials that help you through the entire project. Here is the tartan bag tutorial!
This patchwork bag really just consists of eight squares and a handle. It’s simple to make and you can choose any colours you’d like!
