My wife found a great wood pallet wine rack on Pinterest, so we thought we’d make an afternoon project out of it. These old wood pallets are pretty easy to get a hold of, and in fact, I already had one.
The process is really simple, cut the pallet into two pieces at the center of the side slot on each end. You can make two wine racks from one pallet.
Remove the two cross boards from the unused center section of the pallet to form an optional glass rack on the bottom.
Measure and mark out your slots for the wine glass stems, there is plenty of room for eight glasses.
You will need to install a false bottom into the pallet to hold the wine bottles up away from the glasses.
It really is just that easy, the project from start to finish took less than two hours.
I finished mine with a single coat of white semi-gloss spray paint to give it a white wash look.
Being novice wine makers we happened to have enough wine on hand to fill the rack.
This was a fun and easy little project that just about anyone can do with a few simple tools.
