Banana Bread Recipe

Happy September, friends! With August over and fall officially on its way we have been busy cooking up lots of goodies. So far we have made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, homemade bread, dill pickles, pickled eggs and today I’m sharing our favourite banana bread recipe! (I’ll be sharing the dill pickle/pickled egg recipes shortly)

This Banana Bread recipe is so easy to make! I mashed up my bananas and threw them in my mixer with the sugar, eggs and butter and let that mix while I got my flour, soda and salt ready. Once the wet ingredients were mixed well, I slowly sifted in the dry ingredients and stirred with a spoon just long enough that everything was incorporated. You can either grease a bread pan and coat with flour or you can use parchment paper to line the bread pan. We use parchment paper for everything we cook, it makes the clean up so much easier and it doesn’t stick– our banana bread slid right out of these parchment lined pans!

{Banana Bread Recipe}

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
3 bananas (mashed)
4 tbsp melted butter
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
2 eggs

Directions:

1. Mash bananas to a thin batter (I mash them on a plate with a fork)

2. Combine, bananas, sugar and eggs in a mixer or in a bowl and mix well, then add the melted butter.

3. Sift in the flour, soda and salt and mix until all ingredients are incorporated.

4. Line a bread pan with parchment paper and pour the mixture in.

5. Bake on 350 degrees for about 50 minutes, or until tooth pick comes out clean
